Terrible Certainty by Kreator
About the album Terrible Certainty
In early 1987, Kreator offered their fans the EP titled Flag Of Hate, which contains three songs. In September of the same year, the thrash metal band from Essen, Germany "served" the main dish of the year with the LP Terrible Certainty, with which they managed to establish themselves at the top of the European thrash metal scene. This particular album by Kreator is the first in which the band records as a quartet, with Jörg "Tritze" Trzebiatowski added on guitars.
Terrible Certainty is a collection of eight new songs that unfold within the 35 minutes of the album, 35 minutes that are utterly crushing for the listener. Songs like Blind Faith or Storming With Menace that open the album have nothing to envy from the thrash songs released at the same time in the USA.
Terrible Certainty had no success on the charts in any country. Its success was purely among underground circles of the extreme metal scene, but this does not diminish its value and significance for this particular music scene.
