About the album Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young To Die!

Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die! is the ninth studio album by Jethro Tull, which was released on April 23, 1976, in the United Kingdom and on May 17, 1976, in the USA by Chrysalis Records. All songs were written by the group's leader, Ian Anderson, who also signed the production. It was the first album with bassist John Glascock.

The style of the album is a mix of progressive rock, folk rock, hard rock, and blues rock. The recording took place between November 1975 and January 1976. Most of it was recorded at Radio Monte Carlo (using the mobile studio Maison Rouge), while two tracks were recorded at Morgan Studios in Brussels. It is a concept album that follows the story of Ray Lomas, an aging rocker trying to adapt to the changes in musical trends. The original release of the album was accompanied by a comic inside the cover that explained the plot of the story.

The album reached No. 14 on the American Billboard 200 and No. 25 in Britain. Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die! is considered one of their less successful works in the 1970s, as it was the only album during that period that did not go "gold" in the USA.
