About the album Tonight
Franz Ferdinand will return in early 2009 with their third album after four years. The title of the album will be Tonight, and essentially the songs describe a night of wild partying at some party and the results of it the next day.
The sound of the album differs when comparing it with the sound of previous Franz Ferdinand albums as it is danceable and with elements of electropop, since it aims to musically convey – obviously – the theme of the songs.
It was a successful album. In Britain, it reached No. 2 and in the USA, No. 9.
