About the album Always Ascending
In 2018, Franz Ferdinand released their fifth studio album with two lineup changes. Despite the changes, Always Ascending follows the sound paths of the previous ones, that is, a little indie rock, a little dance-rock.
The band recorded the album in studios in London and Paris with producer Philippe Zdar. The songs are compositions on which all members of the group worked.
It reached No. 6 in Great Britain, while in the USA it went up to No. 59.
