The album Burnt Weeny Sandwich is the ninth album released by Frank Zappa and the seventh recorded with the group Mothers Of Invention. The album was actually released a few months after the group disbanded. Burnt Weeny Sandwich contains recordings made between August 1968 and July 1969.
For the completion of this particular album, keyboardist Ian Underwood's contribution was significant, while the album was produced by Frank Zappa himself. The composition WPLJ - which was the one and only single from the album - was Zappa's rendition of the Four Deuces' composition from 1956.
The album Burnt Weeny Sandwich reached No. 95 on the Billboard chart.
