Here, Elvis records and re-records twelve songs in his own unique way, adding another stone to build his unsurpassed legend. The album was primarily recorded from September 1st to 3rd, 1956, and its producer was Stephen Henry Sholes.

Elvis reached No. 1 in the U.S., with sales there reaching 1,000,000 copies, while in the United Kingdom, it reached No. 3 with sales of around 60,000 copies.
