About the album Eazy-Duz-It

Eazy-Duz-It was Eazy-E’s first solo album and was released in November 1988 by Ruthless Records – his own label – three months before the release of N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, of which Eazy-E, as well as Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, were members and the producers of Eazy-Duz-It. It was a hip hop album that seemed to give a good initial taste of what would happen with N.W.A. in the near future.

The album begins with Still Talkin', a composition by Dr. Dre and The D.O.C., while there is another song by The D.O.C., We Want Eazy, two compositions by Ice Cube, a remix version of The Boyz-n-The Hood, and No More ?'s, as well as a composition by B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. The remaining six songs are exclusive compositions by MC Ren, who had signed a contract with Ruthless the previous year.

The album occupied the Billboard chart in 1988 and 1989. Thus, it was no surprise that the album sold 2,500,000 copies in the U.S.A.
