About the album Pendulum

As the year 1970 comes to an end, John Fogerty has ten new songs ready, which he records with Creedence Clearwater Revival in November, and on December 9th, the band's sixth album titled Pendulum is released, produced by Fogerty himself. Once again, the musical style doesn't change, swamp rock here too.

The recording of Pendulum lasted a month, which seemed excessive for CCR compared to the time it took to complete the group's previous albums. This was due - according to John Fogerty's statements - to the fact that the other three members had requested to participate in the songwriting, but ultimately time passed without result, with the band simply idling in the studio. Thus, John Fogerty would return home and sit alone, crafting songs. This situation marked the beginning of the end for the band, which would reach the end of its existence in 1972.

From the album, only one single emerged, which had Have You Ever Seen The Rain on its A-side and Hey Tonight (!) on the B-side. Pendulum would soon find itself at No.5 on the Billboard charts, and its sales in the U.S. would surpass 1,000,000 copies.
