About the album Cosmo's Factory

In the mid-1970s, Creedence Clearwater Revival released their fifth studio album titled Cosmo's Factory and continued undeterred to enjoy moments of glory and immense acceptance from the American audience - who flocked to their concerts - playing and presenting their swamp rock.

Cosmo's Factory consists of eleven songs, seven of which were composed by John Fogerty, and the other four were covers of songs that had been sung by Bo Diddley, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, and Marvin Gaye. Special mention should be made of the cover of I Heard It Through The Grapevine by the latter, which reaches a duration of 11 minutes. In general, Cosmo's Factory released six singles all of which were successful, and their popularity still holds strong. The cover photo was a random shot by John Fogerty's brother, Bob Fogerty.

In 2014, the album received a spot in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Cosmo's Factory managed to make Creedence Clearwater Revival known beyond the USA. The album sold over 4,000,000 copies in the USA and reached No. 1, while it reached the same position in countries such as Australia, Norway, Canada, Finland, and the United Kingdom.
