About the album Together

Joseph Allen "Country Joe" McDonald and his musical band Country Joe & The Fish create and release in 1968 one of the best and most interesting albums of the American psychedelic scene. All this happens in California.

All the members of Country Joe & The Fish collaborate on the eleven compositions of Together, which is released in July 1968. Folk rock becomes the path through which psychedelic rock will pass. The producer of the album was Samuel Charters, who primarily dealt with jazz and blues, and this comes through in songs like The Harlem Song or Bright Suburban Mr. & Mrs. Clean Machine.

The success of the album, which reached No. 23 on the Billboard, secured the band an hour-long appearance at the Woodstock festival one year later, in August 1969.
