About the album Robbers & Cowards

Cold War Kids, an indie rock band from Los Angeles, released their first album at the end of 2006. This followed the releases of three EPs from June 2005 to January 2006. Eventually, the band entered the studio in August 2006, and the result was their debut titled Robbers & Cowards.

The twelve songs that make up the album are credited to all members of Cold War Kids. Their musical style starts from indie rock and reaches blues rock to the point where some compare them in terms of their sound and the performance of their singer Nathan Willett with the White Stripes, with whom Cold War Kids toured as a support band in the second half of 2007.

From the album emerged the singles We Used To Vacation, Hang Me Up To Dry, and Hospital Beds. The album entered the Billboard Top-200, reaching the No.173 position, while immediately after its release, the band began a promotional tour, both in North America and Europe.
