In 1978, C’est Chic, one of the most iconic disco albums by Chic, was recorded at the legendary Power Station studio in New York. It is the group's second studio album.
The production features Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, who give their best.
The album reaches No. 4 on the Billboard, and Le Freak becomes the group's signature song and one of the biggest disco hits of all time. The album went platinum in the U.S., selling 1,000,000 copies, while the 10,000 copies sold in Hong Kong made it gold there (!)
