Chic is an American music band formed in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. They are known for creating major disco and funk hits during the 1970s and 1980s. Their best-known songs include "Le Freak," "Good Times," and "Everybody Dance." The band has significantly influenced the music scene and remains an iconic figure in the disco and funk genres. Despite changes in their lineup over the years, Chic maintain their influence on contemporary music, with Nile Rodgers continuing to be a recognized composer and producer.
