About the album The Ethereal Mirror
The Ethereal Mirror, the second album by Cathedral, is released in 1993 and establishes them as one of the important new bands of a new heavy metal generation. Here, the band leaves behind the entirely heavy and slow sound of their first album and incorporates some melodies into their sound, while the major change is in the way Lee Dorrian performs, whose vocals are clearer.
With this album, Cathedral offers the audience of heavy sound one of the best albums of the entire '90s decade. The very good production of the album is credited to David Bianco, who also participates in the composition of many songs, co-signing the lyrics with Lee Dorrian, while the music is mainly the work of Garry Jennings.
The cover is a work by Dave Patchett.
