Wrong Way Up by Brian Eno & John Cale
About the album Wrong Way Up
Wrong Way Up is the result that is created when two unique artists and distinct personalities meet and collaborate. The album Wrong Way Up is a brilliant example of art rock music.
The recordings for the album lasted from April to July 1990 and took place at Brian Eno's Wilderness Studio in England. The two musicians share the performances of the songs, produce the album themselves, while each plays instruments from viola and harp to traditional instruments from Nigeria. Among all this, Brian Eno also finds the time to create the album cover (!)
Wrong Way Up was not a massive commercial success, but it is one of those albums that can open up new musical paths for other artists. The standout single was Spinning Away.
