About the album Another Side Of Bob Dylan
In August 1964, Bob Dylan released his fourth studio album titled Another Side Of Bob Dylan, an album full of his own compositions that follow the musical style of folk music. Bob Dylan plays guitar, harmonica, sings, and also plays piano. The addition of the piano could be a precursor to the change he would make in the sound of his immediately forthcoming albums.
Another Side Of Bob Dylan is the artist's second album in 1964, following The Times They Are a-Changin' six months earlier. A significant change noted was in the lyrics' content, which deviates from political subjects and deals with other "more everyday" themes. However, this does not apply to all songs, and let's not forget that there is a song like Chimes Of Freedom here. For this small change in the style of the songs, there were no shortage of malicious critiques directed at Bob Dylan at that time.
Another Side Of Bob Dylan will close the first chapter in Bob Dylan's long career, a chapter that was acoustically driven and had intensely politicized lyrics.
