About the album A Time Of Changes
A Time Of Changes is the debut album of the heavy metal band Blitzkrieg from Newcastle, England, and it was released in April 1985. This particular album is the record that the band was unable to record in the early 1980s as their first breakup overtook them.
The album was recorded when Brian Ross - singer and founding member - decided to reform the band in 1984. The songs of A Time Of Changes had been written in 1981 for the album that Blitzkrieg planned to release then, and this is evident in its sound since things had managed to change.
Nevertheless, the album is included in the NWOBHM musical movement, although in 1985 it technically did not exist or had begun to take on another form. Significant assistance to the album was given by the cover of the eponymous song Blitzkrieg, which Metallica played, basing it on the version that the British had released in 1981 as their first single.
