About the album Sabotage

In 1975, Black Sabbath found themselves recording their sixth classic album titled Sabotage. The rawness and wildness of the sound abound in this album. If only the intro of Symptom Of The Universe had been written by Black Sabbath, it would have been enough to crown them the fathers of Heavy Metal. The reason is that Black Sabbath had just realized that their label was exploiting them, and the lion's share of the profits was going to its coffers and not to them, and they were trying to free themselves from the heinous terms of their contract. Black Sabbath remember that during the recording of the album, there were more lawyers in the studio than technicians.

The very title of the album expresses their anger towards the whole situation in which they were trapped. The sound of Sabotage is levels harder than that of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Although Black Sabbath managed to convey their message with the songs they composed, the album cover was the epitome of ridiculousness. Initially, it was requested that all band members be dressed in black, but no one ensured to bring black clothes to the photography studio, and the group was photographed in whatever they were wearing at the moment. A promise was then made to edit the photo, but it never happened. That is why we see the result we see on the cover.

The single released to promote Sabotage was Am I Going Insane (Radio), which was not the album's strongest moment. The record entered the Top-10 in the UK and the Top-40 in the United States.
