Rick Rubin can boast of being the last producer on a studio album by Black Sabbath, and that is 13, which was released on June 10, 2013.
13 features Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler; the only absence noted is that of drummer Bill Ward due to complications with his contracts. His position was taken by Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine. The first recordings of 13 began in 2001 but immediately froze. We had to reach August 2012 for the official recordings of 13 to start.
The anticipation was so great that it led the album to No. 1 in the United Kingdom and the United States.
