Marillion is a British progressive rock band formed in 1979 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. They are known for their contribution to the resurgence of progressive rock in the 1980s. Initially with singer Fish, they had hits such as "Kayleigh" and "Lavender". In 1989, Steve Hogarth took over as vocalist and since then the band has continued to evolve musically, maintaining a dedicated fan base. Marillion have released numerous albums and are known for their live performances as well as their innovative approach to funding their music through their fans.
