Wire is a British post-punk band formed in 1976 in London. The band consists of Bruce Gilbert (guitar), Graham Lewis (bass, vocals), Colin Newman (vocals, guitar), and Robert Gotobed (drums). Their debut album "Pink Flag" was released in 1977 and is considered a classic in the post-punk music scene. Wire is known for their innovative approach to songwriting and their influence on many newer bands and music genres. Throughout their career, they have consistently experimented with sound and remain active in both recording and live performances.
