About the album Make Believe
After a three-year absence from recording, Weezer returns with Make Believe in mid-2005. Over the years, the album will earn a place among the best and most well-crafted albums of the Californians.
Significant, of course, is the presence of Rick Rubin in the production of the album, as well as the influence he had on Rivers Cuomo (singer/songwriter of Weezer) regarding meditation. Cuomo was inspired by the title after meditation!
Make Believe reached No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 11 in Britain. It had similar success in several other countries, such as Canada, Norway, or Ireland.
