The Sin Of Pride by The Undertones
About the album The Sin Of Pride
The fourth album for the Undertones seemed to be the swan song for the Northern Irish – at least for their first phase. The Sin Of Pride was far removed from the sound they had presented on previous albums, let alone from their beginnings.
The Undertones adopt a different sound, softer and very close to soul, trying to taste success. After all, the lack of it had created tensions and frictions among the members.
None of the three singles made it into the UK's Top-40. Its sales were disappointing. The times had changed, and the Undertones could not adapt to them.
