About the album Balin

In 1981, his psychedelic past with Jefferson Airplane seemed and was very distant for one of their founders, Marty Balin, who released his first solo album titled Balin. It was produced by John Hug.

His sound moved in the sphere of soft rock with songs intended to achieve radio success.

The album included the big hit of the time, Hearts. The album was Marty Balin's best commercial work and reached No. 35 on the Billboard.
