About the album Raw Power
The Stooges return in early 1973 with their third album, Raw Power. This album was created thanks to David Bowie, who invited Iggy Pop to London to record there. In fact, the Stooges had ceased to exist, but Iggy Pop invited the Asheton brothers and guitarist James Williamson, and they accepted.
Raw Power was recorded at CBS studios in London in September and October of 1972. The album was produced by David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The album came to complete the trilogy of Stooges records that are now considered one of the cornerstones of punk-rock music. The truth is that the Stooges in their third album appear to play less chaotically.
Otherwise, the commercial appeal of Raw Power was negligible compared to the innovative sound it carried for its time.
