The Libertines
Group
The Libertines are a British rock band formed in 1997 in London by Peter Doherty and Carl Barât. The band is known for its combination of indie rock and punk, as well as the chaotic and often controversial behavior of its members. They gained popularity in the early 2000s with albums like "Up the Bracket" (2002) and "The Libertines" (2004). Despite their success, internal conflicts and issues with members' substance abuse often overshadowed their career, leading to disbandment in 2004. They reunited in 2010 and continued to work on new music, as well as performing live shows.
