About the album Narcissus Road
In 2004, Antony Genn and Martin Slattery formed the band The Hours. Two years later, they recorded their first album titled Narcisus Road, a title borrowed from an actual road in London, located in the West Hampstead area. The album was eventually released in February 2007.
In their debut, The Hours also made their contribution to the English indie rock and pop scene, which was experiencing a boom at the time. The album's success was marked by the single "Love You More," while the song "Ali In The Jungle" was featured in Nike's "Human Chain" commercial, which was created for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. These were the first two singles from the album, and shortly after, "Back When You Were Good" followed. The renowned British designer Damien Hirst was responsible for the impressive cover of Narcisus Road.
The Hours' debut reached No. 47 in the UK charts. Two more albums followed, which did not achieve much success.
