The Raven That Refused To Sing

About the album The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)

Three years after the dissolution of the British band Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson releases his third solo work in 2013, titled The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories), a highly progressive rock album. In addition to the progressive nature of the album, the listener will encounter a multitude of art rock and fusion rock elements that flood the six compositions of the album.

The compositions are by Steven Wilson, but a large part of their perfection is also owed to the producer and sound engineer of the album, who goes by the name Alan Parsons. Additionally, all the musicians accompanying Steven Wilson in the recordings give their best, their talent, and their experience. The music video for the song The Raven That Refused To Sing was a project based on the designs of the German artist Hajo Mueller, who was also the creator of the album cover.

The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories) won the first prize for the best album at the Progressive Music Awards for 2013. The album reached No. 28 in the United Kingdom, No. 57 in the USA, and No. 3 on the German charts (!)
