About the album Pretzel Logic
In Pretzel Logic, Steely Dan tried and managed to present shorter songs than they had done on their previous two albums. This album was the last of their career promoted with concerts as the decision was made to become a purely studio band.
The cover features an actual photo of a pretzel vendor somewhere in Central Park, New York.
The album sold over 1,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone and went platinum, while the single Rikki Don’t Lose That Number became the most successful in their entire career as it reached No. 4 on the Billboard charts.
