About the album Sin After Sin
The third album of Judas Priest, Sin After Sin, came in 1977 and was produced by Roger Glover of Deep Purple. It is the only Judas Priest album on which Simon Phillips plays the drums.
Sin After Sin became the album that directed a large portion of the rock music-loving audience towards Judas Priest. It is one of the albums that defined how heavy metal should be played. The musical innovation of Sin After Sin was that double drums were heard for the first time, which defined and set the foundation for the entire thrash metal scene a few years later. One of the standout tracks of the album is the cover of Diamonds And Rust by Joan Baez.
The album has sold 500,000 copies worldwide.
