About the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
The folk duo Simon & Garfunkel began their journey with Wednesday Morning 3 A.M. in October 1964. The album did not achieve any success. It would take a more “full” re-recording of The Sound Of Silence. The disappointment was such for both of its creators that Paul Simon returned to London, and Art Garfunkel went back to his university studies.
The cover photo was taken at a New York City subway station.
One third of the songs are written by Paul Simon. The rest are either covers or traditional songs. The album's producer was Tom Wilson.
