After releasing two albums in 1993 and 1996 for Sheryl Crow, the girl from Missouri continued her meteoric rise with The Globe Sessions in the same vein. The Globe Sessions was released in 1998 and is the album that brought her recognition beyond the U.S., thanks to songs like There Goes The Neighborhood and My Favorite Mistake.
The Globe Sessions won the Grammy award for best rock album of its year, reached No. 2 in the UK, No. 5 in the U.S., sold over 2,000,000 copies worldwide, and produced three singles.
Sheryl Crow was also involved in the production of the album.
