Ten years before the sudden death of Prince, the artist from the state of Minnesota - now a resident of California - released one of the most beautiful albums of his later period. The musical style is Prince's classic style: a lot of funk, dance rhythms, some rock passages, and a lot of soul sensuality that runs through many of the compositions.
