About the album A Saucerful Of Secrets

In May 1967, the recording of Pink Floyd's second album begins, which will be completed after a year during which the band will experience its first major lineup change. A Saucerful Of Secrets is the album that started with Syd Barrett in the lineup and concluded with David Gilmour in his place. From January 12 to 20, 1968, was the only period when Pink Floyd existed as a quintet in the same space.

Apart from this fact, the album was delayed so much because a Pink Floyd tour intervened in October 1967. The album was produced by Norman Smith. The one and only composition of the album credited to Syd Barrett is Jugband Blues with which the record closes. The rest are works of Roger Waters and Richard Wright.

A Saucerful Of Secrets sold 100,000 copies and reached No.9 in Britain.
