About the album Yes

Yes becomes the tenth official studio album of the Pet Shop Boys. The album is released in 2009. Twenty-five years have passed since the release of their first album, but the synth-pop duo continues to impress with the musical proposals they make to their music friends and their songs.

The same happens with Yes, which consists of eleven new synth-pop compositions, most uptempo, which sound like a very pleasant listening experience. The album was recorded between May and November 2008, and its official release was in March of the following year. The songs Love Etc., Did You See Me Coming? and Beautiful People stood out as singles, while The Way It Used to Be cannot be ignored. For the composition of several songs and the production of the album, the Pet Shop Boys collaborated with the music production team Xenomania and its leader, Brian Higgins.

The album found appeal mainly on European soil as it entered the Top-40 of many European countries. In Germany and Greece, it reached No.3 on each country's chart, while the album sales in Germany reached 100,000 copies. In the United Kingdom, it reached No.4 and became silver.
