About the album Behaviour.

Behaviour. It was released in late 1990, preceded by its initial single So Hard. No one expected, however, to hear this flawless, calm yet pompous (where necessary) pop that the entire album would conceal within.

The thirty-year-olds – at the time – Pet Shop Boys – deliver lessons in pop music full of quality and substance, like never before. Chris Lowe has stated that the initial intention was to record an uplifting, enthusiastic album, influenced by the British dance scene of the late '80s, and without realizing it, they found themselves having created almost the exact opposite.

Behaviour. reached No. 2 in Britain with sales reaching 300,000 copies.
