About the album Scream
Scream is the tenth studio album by Ozzy Osbourne, which was released in June 2010 by Epic Records. The album was initially titled "Soul Sucka," but Ozzy changed it to Scream due to the negative reaction from his fans. The recording took place at Ozzy's personal studio, "The Bunker," in Los Angeles. The production was handled by Ozzy himself and Kevin Churko, continuing their collaboration from Black Rain.
The style of the album is oriented towards contemporary heavy metal with intense, clean production and a focus on riffs. It includes hits such as Let Me Hear You Scream (which was used in the series CSI: NY) and the melodic ballad Life Won't Wait. This particular album is the only one featuring the Greek virtuoso Gus G. on guitars, replacing Ozzy's long-time collaborator, Zakk Wylde.
The album went gold in Canada and sold over 80,000 copies in its first week in the U.S.A.
