About the album Down To Earth
From 1995 onwards, Ozzy Osbourne had dedicated himself to organizing Ozzfest, but sometime in 2000, his company asked him for a new album. Thus, Ozzy began composing and recording it in April 2000, and the process was completed in August 2001, the year it was released with the title Down To Earth.
Ozzy's eighth album will contain two singles, Gets Me Through and Dreamer. The production is by Tim Palmer, who also contributed to the composition of some of the songs on Down To Earth. Ozzy has stated that thanks to Palmer and his patience, the album was completed. Zakk Wylde plays guitar, Robert Trujillo is on bass - just before joining Metallica - and Mike Bordin from Faith No More is on drums. The experience and talent of these collaborators create one of Ozzy's best albums in the years that followed after the 1980s.
Down To Earth reached No.19 in the UK and No.4 on the Billboard and became Osbourne's fourth studio album out of eight to enter the U.S. Top-10. Its sales in the U.S. made it platinum once.
