About the album After The Gold Rush

Neil Young's third studio album came in 1970 and was titled After The Gold Rush. The album is a country folk record with some rock moments. The songs on the album were recorded between August 1969 and June 1970.

During the recordings, Neil Young had the valuable assistance of some members of the bands he collaborated with at the time, namely Crazy Horse and Crosby, Stills & Nash, while on this album he began his collaboration with a 19-year-old guitarist, Nils Lofgren, who many years later would become part of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

Initially, the album did not win over critics or the audience, but over the years the album came to be regarded as one of the most outstanding works by the Canadian songwriter and performer. In 2014, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
