Big Calm by Morcheeba
About the album Big Calm
The English band Morcheeba from Kent released their second album in 1998, titled Big Calm. Big Calm became the most commercially successful album of the group. It is estimated that total sales have exceeded 2,000,000 worldwide, and it was their only album to become platinum in their homeland.
Morcheeba also joined the musical movement of trip hop, which dominated Britain in the mid-1990s, and with albums like their debut and Big Calm, they are rightly considered one of the top groups of the genre. Skye Edwards' voice played a crucial role in what they achieved.
The album cover was a replica from the collection of American musician and arranger Ray Conniff titled Hi Fi Companion.
