About the album Blue Lines

The Blue Lines by Massive Attack marks a new era in pop/rock music: it is the beginning of trip-hop. It all started in Bristol, England. Release date: April 8, 1991.

Blue Lines is the result of the vision shared by a group of music producers, singers, and DJs in Bristol in the late 1980s, which materialized in 1991. Dub, hip-hop rhythm, electronica, jazz, and samplings all together. A key collaborator of Massive Attack was Jonny Dollar, who played the role of the album's producer along with the others.

Blue Lines reached No.13 in Britain and did excellently in most European countries. In the U.S., it probably went unnoticed. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most important albums of the 1990s, which has now taken on legendary status.
