About the album The Antidote
The fifth studio album by Morcheeba from Kent, England, was released in 2005 and is titled The Antidote. This album is far from the trip-hop that characterized the group's early work. Its musical style sits somewhere between electronic music with many downtempo elements. The result is an interesting "dreamy" atmosphere. The main protagonist of the album is Daisy Martey and her voice, which replaced the equally amazing Skye Edwards.
Three singles emerged from the album: Lighten Up, Everybody Loves A Loser, and Wonders Never Cease. The album did not win the favor of music critics in Great Britain as they compared the two singers and considered Daisy Martey to be inferior to Skye.
Nevertheless, The Antidote reached No.17 in the United Kingdom, while its No.5 position in France cannot go unnoticed.
