About the album Dangerous

Dangerous becomes the eighth album of Michael Jackson. Dangerous is a 1991 release, which, with the 32,000,000 copies sold, will become one of the most commercially successful releases of its year. In Dangerous, Michael Jackson significantly changes his musical style, and this particular album features a pervasive new jack swing style. Dangerous will have in its production the artist himself, Bill Bottrell, Bruce Swedien, and Teddy Riley.

Out of the fourteen songs on the album, nine (!) will be released as singles, with seven making it into the Billboard Top-40. The album and its promotion relied on well-filmed video clips, whose consistent and continuous airing on MTV was part of the daily agenda.

Dangerous reached No.1 in twelve countries, while in the U.S. - initially - it surpassed the success of Thriller and Bad, as it sold 4,000,000 copies within the first two months of its release.
