About the album Marc Cohn

Marc Cohn from the State of Ohio, shortly after his thirties, presents his first album titled after his name. All this happens in 1991. The Marc Cohn album was quite ahead of its time as it musically focused on the typical American radio rock sound, folk-rock, and soft rock.

Undoubtedly, the album was supported by the success of the song Walking In Memphis, an autobiographical song that Cohn composed in 1985 based on his experiences in Memphis when he was there as a session musician for quite some time.

The album was commercially successful as its sales made it platinum in the USA and gold in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. In 1992, he won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. From then on, Marc Cohn returned to a small and faithful audience.
