About the album This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours
This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours was released in 1998. The fifth studio album by the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers sent them to No.1 in the United Kingdom from the first week of its release, and the band gained a special weight in the pop & rock music industry. The title of the album, This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, came from a phrase by Welsh politician Aneurin Bevan, which was heard in one of his political speeches.
In this album, things are split for the first time regarding composition. Nicky Wire takes over the lyrics, and James Dean Bradfield along with Sean Moore deal with the music of the songs. The album was produced by Dave Eringa and Mike Hedges. The cover of the album depicts the three members of the group standing at Traeth Morfa Bychan, an area of their homeland, Wales.
The sales of This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours reached 1,000,000 in the United Kingdom, while worldwide they have now approached 5,000,000, making it the best-selling album in the band's entire career by a wide margin over the second.
