About the album Send Away The Tigers
What immediately impresses in the eighth studio album of the Manic Street Preachers is the group's return to a more hard sound compared to what they had presented in their latest albums. Send Away The Tigers was recorded and released in 2007.
Four songs stood out from this particular album as singles. The first was Underdogs, while the second, Your Love Alone Is Not Enough, "features" Nina Persson of the Cardigans on vocals. In the CD version, after the end of Winterlovers, a cover of John Lennon's Working Class Hero follows as a hidden track. The lyrics of the songs are by Nicky Wire, while James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore are responsible for the music.
Send Away The Tigers reached No.2 in the United Kingdom, where it sold over 100,000 copies and is definitely one of the most successful albums of the Welsh in their country. In the rest of the European countries, its commercial appeal was moderate.
