7 by Madness
About the album 7
The band Madness was in the Bahamas in July and August of 1981 to record the third album of their career titled 7, a title which relates to the number of members in the group.
The album became another success for Madness. In this record, Madness combines ska and reggae with a very decent pop veil. Grey Day was the first single and was the only song they didn't record at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas. Alan Winstanley and Clive Langer were the producers of the album.
The album reached No. 5 in the United Kingdom and sold 100,000 copies.
