About the album Lita
Lita from 1988 was Lita Ford's third studio album and came at the peak of glam metal, clearly heavily influenced by this sound. The album was produced by Mike Chapman, who added all the elements necessary to the songs to convey the glam metal aesthetic.
The album was marked by Lita Ford's collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne on the ballad duet If I Close My Eyes Forever. This collaboration took place because Ford's manager at the time was Ozzy's wife, Sharon Osbourne. Additionally, Lemmy (!) from Motorhead also participated in the composition of the song Can't Catch Me.
The album climbed to No. 29 on the Billboard chart and sold 1,000,000 copies in the U.S., becoming Lita Ford's greatest commercial success.
