About the album Slippery When Wet
The Bon Jovi from New Jersey managed with their third album, Slippery When Wet, to demystify heavy metal and make it friendly to the general public. The band caught everyone by surprise as the first two albums had not helped them become known to the general public.
Although it was not the most characteristic album of the genre, namely glam metal, Slippery When Wet proved its worth over time and can rightfully be remembered as one of the significant albums of the 1980s regardless of music genre.
It spent eight weeks at the top of the Billboard, has sold 15,000,000 in the U.S. alone, and gave an "anthem" to all the young people starting their lives: Livin’ On A Prayer. Bruce Fairbairn was the producer of Slippery When Wet.
