Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida by La Oreja De Van Gogh
About the album Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida
If the success of La Oreja de Van Gogh's second album was a surprise, their third album titled Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida skyrocketed the band's career and turned them into a pop phenomenon for the Spanish pop culture of the early 21st century.
Out of the fifteen songs on the album, eight were released in the form of singles. The first single was Puedes Contar Conmigo, released in March 2003, and the last was Bonustrack, in February 2005. (1) Nigel Walker was once again the producer of the album, which was recorded in studios in Madrid, New York, and Paris.
The success of Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida was enormous both in Europe and Latin America. In France, the album was released under the title Paris, featuring a different version of the song Paris from their previous album - with lyrics also in French. In Chile, the album has sold 88,000 copies and is the best-selling album in physical form for the twenty-first century (!)
